Scrap From My Heart: July 2008

Little Jack was born on December 11, 2002 at Milwaukee Children's Hospital. He was born with a very rare congenital heart defect called hypoplastic left heart syndrome. A day and a half after he was born Jack had open heart surgery. He stayed in the hospital for just over 3 weeks and then we brought him home to Madison. Unfortunately Jack's heart just couldn't take it and he passed away just six days after we brought him home. He is forever in our hearts. HE'S HERE! (and now 6 weeks old already!)

I know, I know....I need to get my blog up and going again. I swear I will. =) But I've been a little bit busy the last 6 weeks.

David August Heckel arrived June 10th at 9:35am. He took in a lot of water so he ended up in the NICU for 4 days. We were really hoping this child we wouldn't have to see under glass, but that wasn't to be. But he bounced back quickly and came home with us on the 15th. The last six weeks have been fun, and hard as well. David has reflux and colic so things have been hard. But now that we think we know what the problem is I'm hoping to get things under control. I will post pics soon, I promise
