Whooo Hooooo, so anyone ever hear of Two Peas in a Bucket?

Ok, if you haven't I'm going to seriously question your dedication to scrapbooking. LOL just kidding

Two Peas in a Bucket is an online community and shopping website dedicated to all things scrappy. (including stamping and photography as well) www.twopeasinabucket.com

I've been a "Pea" for years and have logged many, many hours on the web site.

I casually mentioned to my boss Jessica the other day that I was having a crop and she replied, "Oh my Aunt and Uncle founded Two Peas. " My eyes bugged out of my head and my mouth dropped. She said, "I'll just give my Uncle a call and see if they will make a donation." So she did and "Uncle" Jeff just called me and said they will be dropping of a goodie bag (and coupons-yippie) to the church for us.

I'm picking up tickets for a raffle this afternoon, I think we're going to have some excellent prizes this year.

Silent auction or raffle?

We are getting some really great door prizes this year so I'm thinking we might need to set up either a silent auction or a raffle? Which would you prefer? vote by either responding to this post or emailing me. The  most votes is the way I'll go. If no one votes I'll know that all 3 of you who read my blog are away on vacation.

New vendors this year!

I'm super excited to announce we have some new vendors this year. (and we are welcoming back our "regulars"!)

Our own Kim Ziehr has started a new company since our last crop. If you haven't checked out Raisin Boat, you definitely should. It's an amazing concept, you can RENT your stamps. Yep, I know you are all slapping your foreheads and saying, "Why didn't I think of that??" Well good thing for us Kim did. check her out at http://www.raisinboat.com/

Many of you know Katie Cappozzo from here in McFarland as well. Katie is a director in the digital scrapping company Heritage Makers. She has gone from zero to 60 in the company in the last year. Now I know we all like to get messy with our traditional glue and scissors, but hear her out. Remember our surprise guest last year, the angel who saw us on TV and then dropped a TON of amazing Fiskar products? Stephenie is coming back this year!! She is going to be with us on Friday night. answering questions, handing out goodies and just having fun with the rest of us.  Yippie!!

I hope you are getting as excited as I am. I've been busy the last few days printing pictures and gathering paper. I've been tempted a few times to just start scrapping (you know us artists, we get distracted easily ha ha) but I'm going to resist the temptation and wait until Friday.

Need a babysitter?

I have a list of very nice teenage girls who are on standby if you need a sitter. (at your house, not at the church) If you'd like the list email me and I'll forward it on to you with their names, ages, and how much they charge/hr.  =)

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

We only have 10 days left until the kick off of our next crop. Are you prepared yet? (registered? printing photos? pulling together supplies?) Um...I'm not!

When I flipped the calendar over yesterday and saw the big red circle on the 12th, and realized it was a WEEK FROM FRI I must admit, I freaked out a bit. *eek*

So please help me "de-freak" a bit and get your registration in please!! I need to know numbers so I can figure out food, drinks, goodie bags etc.

Soda and Pop tabs

Speaking of the Ronald McDonald House...

have you been saving your soda/pop/other beverage tabs all year? =) Remember to bring them to our crop. Whoever has the most will win something scrappy!

Garage Sale this year!

As I previously mentioned, I've been trying to clean my scrap (or as my husband fondly calls it "crap") room. As I'm going along I'm making a pile for our scrappy garage sale this year.

We're going to have a table where you can put your treasures for sale. Any paper, stickers, punches, ribbon etc that you know you'll never use (but hate to just throw away) bring and we'll put it on a table. (put a price on it what you think it would sell for) Your piece of paper you don't want anymore may be just what someone else is looking for.

All monies we raise will be put towards Jack's scholarship.

Anything left over that doesn't sell I've got a few ideas for.

1-you may take it with you (we will not hold paper hostage!)

2-If we have a little left over that doesn't sell I'm thinking we'll donate it to the teachers at the preschool. I know they are always appreciate getting donations for craft projects at school.

3-If we have a lot left over I might think about dividing it up and taking some over to the Ronald McDonald House in Madison. I'm not sure if they have a craft room there but I'd like to find out. I'm thinking those families who are staying there would be able to use our items to document their stay. I know for me scrapbooking is very therapeutic.

So as you are packing up and finding all sorts of things you  might not use, just set them aside for our scrappy garage sale table!

I made it (so don't laugh). I just thought we  needed something easier to remember than this blog site. So tell your friends, your neighbors, your family!

Just a few more weeks, are you getting ready? I, of course, have my annual ritual of cleaning out my craft room. It needs to be excavated first before I can start thinking about packing up for our crop. I've already started, apparently I have a floor in my room-who knew? ;)
